Mark and Carol Coil, along with sons, Ryan and Reed, moved from the southwestern suburbs of Minneapolis, to the resort in 1988. The entire family has contributed to the running of the resort over the years. Mark has remodeled and maintains the cabins. Carol cleans the cabins and takes care of the paperwork. Cabin 1 - 1988

The first of the cabins at Birch Haven was built in 1940's. An early story of the resort business is that of a hunter who decided to build a fire in the middle of one of the beds.

Birch Haven has seen numerous owners over the years. The Coil's have remodeled their home, all the cabins, added decks and replaced the dock in their time at the resort.

The Coil's invite you to spend your vacation at
Birch Haven and discover the
beauties of Balsam Lake and Northern Minnesota.
